Like a snappy typewriter try this model. The SM7 didn't get a lot of credit in my collection until today. I liked the SM9. The SM7 has a higher ranking now, I love the touch and I don't mind the carriage shift. I find that it feels better then I thought and has a beautiful font. A little dirty, it still exudes romance. I was looking to see who used an SM7 and the only writer I could find was the American novelist James Baldwin. If you don't know his work go to the Paris Review link for an interview with him. Here is a picture of the machine and a couple of pictures that I found on Richard Polt's site http://site.xavier.edu. enjoy.
Here is James Baldwin working on his SM7
Have a great day - it's snowing here, again.
