No.35 - TOTD Smith Corona Silent Super
Here is another of my Smith Corona Silent Super, one of the greatest typewriters. It also opened my mind as I looked at it, the name is Silent Super not Super Silent. I had always reversed the name. Most typists love the touch of the machine, I love that and the shape - smaller then most, easy to move.
I went back to the Guru and the Writers and their Typewriters and reviewed the writers who used the Silent Super and found Donald Westlake. I had never read any of his work but after reading about him I am going to test his work by reading his first novel. I always like to start a series at the the beginning so I can observe both the authors development and the development of his character, Try this with someone like Jo Nesbo and you will see a marvelous metamorphosis as the author learns his trade and develops his or her skill.
Here is a picture of my machine.
Enjoy and have a great Easter.

Just the Facts is a discussion of current world events from the point of view of someone who lives on the fringe of polite society, just plain old oil field trash.
