We live in stranger times.  What would you call a hedge fund that decides to worry about a climate science concept - global warming rather than returns on it's investments; it is either confused our it has a new way to pander to clients.  Placing interfering directors on the BOD of Exxon will only drive down stock value.    In either case it only means that their returns to investors will suffer.
