The Solarwinds story is further proof of the weakness of out IT based economy.  We don't take security seriously enough and we don't vet the personnel seriously.  In fact looking back over modern history we see the complete weakness of our system.  The system is riddled with weakness.  It tells the average person, don't trust your computer or your smartphone no matter how convenient.
