Profits Count More Than Ever, Not Corporate Virtue-Signaling
Anyone who thinks virtue signaling is good for business is looking for a disaster. Business is about business - making a profit for the shareholders, legally and ethically. This is what they are good at. Companies serve their shareholders and their employes. They do not waste money on social virtue signaling, that is something they are not good at. If the government wants to tilt at windmills their is nothing we can do except vote them out of office. If the companies try to tilt at windmills, ala Don Quixote the only thing we can do is sell their shares.
