VooDoo is here - Just when I thought there was nothing interesting on a Sunday night two great eassays from Richard Fernandez.
The statue thing has been bothering me. I do not believe in historical revisionism, I leave that to the Russians, North Koreans and Antifa/BLM. History is just history and trying to re-interpret it under you POV from today is only going to cause grief and unhappiness - the ancients were not whiners from USC Davis. You have to understand history in the context that it occurred. You can't erase it. It is what it is. Get over it and move along.
