Economists Are The New Astrologers | Zero Hedge

Economists Are The New Astrologers | Zero Hedge:

I majored in economics in university and always supported the concept that it was a science but I had a debate once with an engineer and I had to confess it wasn't.  My world was rocked.

Here is a response to Mann's article.

By the way oil well drilling doesn't cause land subsidence.  MM should have paid more attention in his geology classes.

I had to put this up in the blog.  This is Michael Mann the hockey stick guy,

First of all this is a terrible event and has caused hardship and worse for a lot of people and my heart and prayers go out to everyone. Its is so painful to see the tragedy that I am not even going to add my comments on Mann's article - it is not the time and place.

The Coming Age of Magic | Belmont Club

The Coming Age of Magic | Belmont Club:

'via Blog this'

VooDoo is here - Just when I thought there was nothing interesting on a Sunday night two great eassays from Richard Fernandez.

The statue thing has been bothering me.  I do not believe in historical revisionism, I leave that to the Russians, North Koreans and Antifa/BLM.  History is just history and trying to re-interpret it under you POV from today is only going to cause grief and unhappiness - the ancients were not whiners from USC Davis.  You have to understand history in the context that it occurred.  You can't erase it.  It is what it is. Get over it and move along.

Enjoy this as well.

No one can support the content of this site or others BUT the Techies have to keep their hands off.  The internet was built on pornography which comes in all forms and is very corrosive, the Techies said nothing but reaped the benefit of the traffic - now they are going to be moral?

Delingpole: Trump Lops Off Another of the Green Blob's Tentacles:

Read this last night and thought it should go on the record.  Global Warming is a giant game of rent seeking - a "Luxury" that we can't afford and has no merit - just scholastic propaganda.

Every talks about the weather - no one can do anything about it.

Saanich to ask fossil fuel producers to pay up for climate change - British Columbia - CBC News

Saanich to ask fossil fuel producers to pay up for climate change - British Columbia - CBC News:

'via Blog this'

It is hard to think that a legal pursuit of companies for "Climate Change" reasons would be successful in the courts but we live in strange times where logic, legal and scientific principles have no relation to left wing political ideology.  If the left wing controls the courts then nothing good will happen since ideology trumps everything.  One question though, since the consumer and taxpayer is the payee for the the product and the costs will be passed on to the consumers, how are they going to avoid their own judgement?  What we are really looking at are groups of rent seeking lawyers and their enabling politicians at work.

Here is what should happen.  Turn off your furnaces and air conditioners, turn out your lights, don't drive your cars and that would include electric vehicles since they to benefit from carbon sourced energy and don't cut you lawns.  Enjoy this for at week.  Feel the pinch of energy impoverishment.  Oh and if you live at the seashore and don't like erosion start piling up rocks for your breakwater.

How To Know You’re In a Mass Hysteria Bubble | Scott Adams' Blog

How To Know You’re In a Mass Hysteria Bubble | Scott Adams' Blog:

'via Blog this'

Sitting on the front deck enjoying the weather is the only escape from the news.  ISIS attacks in Spain, Finland and Germany are setting the tone.  Steve Bannon resigning sets the tone.  Crazy talk from the left sets the tone.  Ripping down statues to re-write history sets the tone.  Thank the Lord that Scott Adams wrote his article on mass hysteria.  It seems that we are just in a avalanche of mass hysteria.

Phew I think I am going to drink a beer.  Enjoy the article.

Climate change study warns of killer heat waves

Climate change study warns of killer heat waves:

'via Blog this'

I only wanted the headline for comparison; from what we see now 40,000 people are dying of hypothermia each winter in europe now.  This is a direct result of energy poverty brought about by the Global Warming policies in place now.  Forget the heatwave hope, take care of the poor and elderly now.
