Delingpole: More Climate Fake News From The BBC:

'via Blog this'

Sad to see a rearguard response from the BBC but not surprising in the least.  MM has no cred.

Everywhere we see the chattering forces of global warming trying to stem the tide of change that is coming from the US.  Economics will drive this change.  Watch the effect America will have on Canada where the governments remain in the thrall of chasing the bucks they think they will get from Carbon Taxes.

J Scott Armstrong: Fewer Than 1 Percent Of Papers in Scientific Journals Follow Scientific Method - Breitbart:

'via Blog this'

Here is the problem - a good discussion of the lack of scientific rigor in carrying out research - making the results scholastic; good for MSM commentary and political action but irrelevant to the actual science.  Why don't we see better work - because it hard.  What are we doing - we are having our scientists going political.  What will this mean - we are becoming lost.  Bring science back.

DELINGPOLE: 179 Million Reasons Why Trump Cannot Destroy The EPA

DELINGPOLE: 179 Million Reasons Why Trump Cannot Destroy The EPA:

'via Blog this'

James Delingpole is right on target with this article.  The EPA was the major source of the money used to fund the Green Movement.  This is a going to be a real fight to unwind this "machine"  as he says everyone involved is going to fight to protect their pay.

It's interesting that most NGOs are supposed to fund themselves by gathering donations from people that care.  You would think that if an NGO was significant to people, doing something important, it would have gathered public support.  What we find in reality is that the NGO's are actually funded for the most part by governments.  Who are they working for?  Why the policy feedback loop?

Hopefully President Trump and Scott Pruitt can drain this swamp and get everything back to reality.

Thanks again to SmallDeadAnimals we can see the essay by John Nolte in the Daily Wire.  The wheels are going to come off the truck with the MSM and the Obama Team.  The politicization of American Institutions will require a major overhaul to cure.  Perhaps it can't be done with career Liberals imbedded in these institutions.

Live Updates: FBI Director James Comey Testifies Before Congress - Breitbart:

Good Morning:

I was driving into town and had Fox News on my radio.  James Comey was being interviewed by the Congressional Committee for Intelligence.  I was fascinated by his careful answers to the questions.  Some many answers are so legally "careful" that my spider senses are tingling that we have a real story here; not that the Trump Campaign had dealings with the Russians but that the White House had been listening in on the Trump Campaign HQ to aid and abet the HRC election campaign.  We will have to see how this unfolds.  How did the press get the info on General Flynn?

How Leonardo DiCaprio Can Persuade Me on Climate... | Scott Adams' Blog:

'via Blog this'

Here is an insightful essay by Scott Adams on the selling of Climate Science.  Leonardo came to Calgary to shoot the movie The Revenant in Calgary and met a chinook.  He thought he was living through global warming and made a big deal about the warm weather as prima facie evidence of the end of the world as we know it.  It wasn't until later that he learned it was a chinook, the one weather phenomenon that makes living in Calgary bearable in the winter.  No one was impressed by his level of understanding of climate science but no one was surprised since all he is is a actor.

Pipe Missive-past the Ides, best bowlful, new - Maxim Engles Comments

logo_email

Here is Maxim's Latest Comments

Pipe Missive 03/16/17.

Yesterday was the Ides of March. Not an auspicious day if you happen to be Julius Caesar for the rest of us it may mark the advent of spring. Here not yet, it has been in the minuses for the last week.

I have often been asked what was the best tobacco I have ever smoked.  I have no answer because there are too many variables. Around 1982 I smoked a bowl of Royal Yacht, (made by Dunhill) not a tobacco I have ever favoured. That bowl was one of the best smokes I ever had. I remember it well. It was a June day and I had just had a lunch of French cheeses, cold cuts amongst which was a superb Hungarian salami, along with a fair number of glasses of white wine and some very good company. After which I lit up a slightly large pipe filled with the aforementioned Royal Yacht. As I smoked it over ten next 45-50” while consuming a glass more or two, it was unbelievably good. Funnily, many attempts at smoking Royal Yacht again never worked, possibly because I am a confirmed Latakia lover.

Smoking a given tobacco and how you like it depends on many things. What you have eaten and drunk recently, your general state of mind and the company you are with or not.  Even tobaccos that I smoke and enjoy regularly vary because of these differing circumstances. Consequently there is no best tobacco I have ever smoked. There are only bowlfuls that were exceptionally good - because of? Life consists not of memorable days but memorable moments.

Enjoy and if you are a tobacco burner go to his site.

Earth hour - the most effete Global Warming action.  What does the left think they are helping by turning their lights out for an hour.  If they were serious they could change the way they live 365 days of the year; walk, disconnect from the grid, live locally and stop traveling and try to cut their consumption. The only thing they do is pretend they care about their issue.

UCSD scientists worry Trump could suppress climate change data - LA Times:

'via Blog this'

Dream on.

Now let me get this straight - Trump will suppress climate change data? Do you mean he will only release the real unadulterated sat data and not the vitamixed data that has been released by all of the Global warming cohorts?  There is nothing left to protect since everything has been so "modified" and since the Global Warming proponents won't release their programs that modify the data to support their conclusions.  This is wheels within wheels.

One final thing - The President of the United States has many other agenda items that are more important and more relevant than wasting his time, the government's time and the tax payer's money on Global Warming data.

A little update for all of you who have lost faith in western civilization. Looks to me like there is a bit of daylight now.

One other point that Delingpole touches on is that the commonly held theory about CO2 is that it will cause the climate to warm, If I remember correctly when I was younger the theory was that CO2 would cause the climate to cool.  This is a little unsettled science.

Snopes revises misleading fact check on the standing ovation for Carryn Owens « Hot Air:

'via Blog this'

My Brother is always going to Snopes.  When it first started I would have run through their site and use it to review weirder stories, some of the stories seemed a little suspect, how could you check their conclusions so I wandered out of the Snopes world.

During the last Presidential election I ran across Snopes fact checking.  Fact checking had normally been the purview of CNN as they tried to attack the credibility of candidate Trump.  The Snopes report seemed a little biased toward a Democrat/left-wing.  This reinforced my suspicion about their work but since it was "fact checking" I let pass by,

I sat through the President's address to both houses on Tuesday night and I was amazed at the partisan behavior of the Democrats sit through the point the President made and sitting during the President's comments to Carryn Owens I particular I saw Debbie Wasserman-Schultz sit through the the entire portion.

Here is Hot Airs comments on Snopes.
