Well we are enjoying a little Global Warming here in Calgary today.  If you live north of the 49th Parallel you can never complain if you get these days when the sun stays up a little longer and you don't have snow and a cold north wind.  

Following my smugness, the article I found on Climate Change Dispatch discusses the problem that most western governments have when the bureaucracy is subverted by ideologues marching to their own drummers and not doing what they are supposed to do, make an honest effort to serve the people.  Are we are going to have to think about term limits for the bureaucrats?  Are we going to have to monitor or prohibit their political activism?  This is a huge problem in Canada as well where the civil servants in Ottawa are almost completely liberal.
