Typewriter of the Day - Adler J5

TOTD - Adler J5.

Another quiet day, the news has nothing worth putting on the record, the blogs are quiet, so its time for the second typewriter of the day.

Here is one of my Adler J5's. It is another of my work typewriters here in Fernie.  It has lost it's case prior to coming into my possession and the lower part of the case is cracked a bit but it works beautifully.  The J5 is a full feature, late model, Typewriter with all of the finest qualities of manual typewriter development built in.  A dream to type on, not too heavy, not cumbersome compared to a full size machine and they come with a molded plastic case which makes them impervious to damage while being carried around.  The J5 is also a handsome machine, easy on the eyes, someone described them as looking like a jet fighter.  I agree.  Only downside, the rubber feet, they seem to disintegrate over time.  This problem was solved by building replacements with a 3D printer thanks to my nephew Ben.

It's a slow day and I want to uplift both myself and you, as a reader.  Here is picture of the Typewriter of the day, a Olympia SM9 - I once asked Mr Typewriter (you can find him on the web) which typewriter was the best, he said the SM9. I think he might be right.

Mondays are slow.  Nothing interesting is coming out of the Global Warmists, they are watching the North Koreans, the news is flat due to the Press watching the North Koreans at the Olympics.  We do however have the Cappy working, he has a great video on press and in particular CNN.  Years ago I used to watch CNN because it was real time news, I don't anymore, I too am sick of the political propaganda that they generate ad nauseum.
