Fidel Castro is dead.  The "revolutionaries" who walk amongst us are all in mourning.  Let's face the facts, the Castro dictatorship was a terrible period for the Cuban people.  Perhaps Castro cleaned up Havana, booting out the Mafia along with Battista.  Maybe getting the economy back in the hands of the Cuban people, albeit communist apparatchiks, was good.  But on the whole it was a very dark period for the Cuban people, Being ground down to economic dust, as we are seeing today in Venezuela is not something people should strive for.



Fidel's passing just reminds all of us who can remember him that time waits for no man.
