I found this article in SmallDeadAnimals and I have to share it to you.  Here ia a great write up which ends with the disclosure that the mine produced metalurgical coal not thermal coal.  This is not a war on global warming but just vitue signaling.   I say this watching a coal train rolls by from the Teck  mine at Sparwood.
